Alright back to catching up. Here is our Touch of Class Christmas Performance in a nutshell :) and yes I am going to embarrass myself by putting our teachers dance on here. (Yes I haven't even done Christmas!!)

Promptings

So tonight as I hang out in my single momness (ha ha) I was unwinding on the computer from tonight's grueling events of putting the kids to bed by myself I had the thought pop into my head - you should go check and make sure the cords not wrapped around Gracie's neck. Backtracking a little since Alan's gone I told Gracie she could sleep with me. She opted for the floor so I put her to bed on the floor and she was talking to me off and on - Mom I want to go to tumbling tomorrow - Mom yadda yadda yadda. Well, she was laying on my side of the bed and I have my phone charger plugged in right next to my side and it just hangs out. My door stays shut during the day so Jake can't get in (for now, he can almost open doors, YIKES!) so I haven't ever thought of it as a risk. So I get to a stopping point on my project (organizing my pictures fun huh?) and I go in and peek at her. Well I can't see her very good from the doorway and so I sneak in and she's moves/sits up and says - Are you coming to lay by me? So I say yes I can see the cord coming out of the wall and it looks normal like its just right there so I lay by her and we snuggle (she is seriously the best snuggler ever!) And she's talking a little bit but holding still. All of a sudden she starts moving around kinda weird. I ask her what's she's doing and she says - oh, this is just on me. All of a sudden I can see the cord poking out of the covers by her head. I grab it and find that it was wrapped around her neck. TWICE. . . .crazy. The thoughts of what could have happened had I not gone in there gives me the shivers. Thank you for promptings. I'm glad I listened.

Preschool Christmas Party - I decided to go and see how the parties work. Fun for the 3 years olds not so fun for mom chasing Jake. I was exhausted by the end. But Gracie had fun and they didn't mind Jake running around everywhere, which was nice.

Randomness

(This is the start of a long catch up process!!) So here's our winter in a nutshell :) - going clear back to DECEMBER!!! I don't even remember all the stories behind the pictures but here they are:
Like I said I don't remember the stories - apparently his tongue is blue and he's upset about it?? Your guess is as good as mine!! ha haha ha this story is a good one!! So one morning it was bathtime so we were in the bathroom and I was undressing the kids and I get to Jake's diaper and I start pulling it off and I go crap! He pooped. But then I started looking closer and it wasn't poop. It was a medal. Like a you did a good job medal. Awarded to none other than our nephew Chase. lol what in the world? So I call up Grandma since that's where he'd been the night before and she was like it was the weirdest thing he was playing with it one minute putting it behind his head hiding it and the next minute it was gone! So the only conclusion was he dropped it down his neck and somehow made it behind the layers of his jammies, onsie and into his diaper. Weird. Didn't phase him though!He just looks like a stud here.Yea!! It snowed and Dad said we could play in it with him!! (I hate snow) So here's our FREEZING cold adventure. . . .
We hadn't invested in snow clothes for Jake yet. He got a little cold.Uncle Andrew came over one day (I don't remember why he was over. I remember my mom was with him but that's it) and out to play again. Funny the pictures look the same. I almost didn't catch that they were two separate events!One last story for this post. Poor little Jakie touched the fireplace at the babysitter and got burned :( he had blisters on the pads of everyone of his fingers and then on the palm too. Poor kid. That was a little traumatic but the healed just fine and you'd never know he'd been burned!! (the pictures aren't very good of the wound)
We actually ended up going ice skating still that night for CBR's Christmas Party and he was sooooo good. A little tired but he had fun still. I somehow managed to not get pictures of that. I wonder if anyone has any? I guess I'll add that to my to do list.

5 lbs. . . .

So last Monday I started Boot Camp at (ironically) Boot Camp 4 U - the routine? A 1 hour work out EVERY morning that totally kicks your butt and counting your calories in everything you eat. And in the first week my results: I missed 1 day (I was sick and Jake was up 1/2 the night, which could be why I wasn't feeling good) and I ate like a champ!! And. . . . . . I lost 5 lbs!!! In one week! I was hoping to average about 3lbs a week so I'm off to a good start! Here's to another week!! Only 11 more to go! :)
