President's Day Weekend. . . .

Wow what a weekend. I should've known that it was going to be trouble when we didn't get there until Midnight (there being Island Park) which isn't a big deal if it wasn't winter. Cause you see in the summer you just drive right up and park and unload weeellllllllll in the winter not the case. You can drive part way in but then the rest of the way you have to snowmobile. Yes you and all your stuff. Which is a lot more stuff than in the winter because frankly the winter clothes are a lot bigger than the summer and you need more clothes in the winter.

This little girl was loved by all :)
Happy Birthday Aunt Kirstin.

and we're off! The first day Jake went on 3 rides and fell asleep on 2 of them. That kid is crazy.

See what I mean? Loved by all :)

Love this picture :)
Its safe to say that my grandpa hogged sweet Miss B most of the time we were there :)
See why we have to snowmobile in?
From the front porch. . .

And some down time playing games with Aunt Kirstin's brother Aaron.

What I didn't take pictures of was
-Jake crying all night Sunday night because his ear hurt. And then freaking out at me Monday when I asked if he wanted to go home so we could go to the Dr.

-Me wrecking the snowmobile into a tree. With both Gracie and Jake on there with me (it was a 2 seater) Which I now have a bruise on my leg and my shoulder hurts from. But the kids were fine (just a little scared but that didn't stop them from riding more)
-Jake crying all night Monday night because his ear hurt.
-Jake crying on Tuesday because he didn't want to go home even though his ear hurt!
and Jake finally arriving at the Dr's with a burst ear drum. Mom of the year right here.  (Alan went on the Klondike with the scouts so we tagged along with my parents)

But after all that it was still a super fun time! And the kids can't wait to go back in a couple weeks with Daddy!

Happy V-Day!

Valentines day 2012 :)

Heart shaped pancakes. . .
Cutely dressed kids :)

Then our first day of swimming lessons. Oh these kids were beyond excited. We sure love the water at our house.

Then it was date night :) because of swim lessons we didn't have time for anywhere fancy. But this place was still delicious (and no wait!)
then we headed to Lady A!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry I ruined the surprise babe!) First up was Thompson Square. Not a huge fan.
See those guys over there? Ya those ones? Those are our besties hangin' out!

Then Darius Rucker. Now he was awesome!!! So good. I could've done a whole concert with him!

Then. . . . . . . Lady A!!

They were awesome. Not quite as good as Taylor Swift but they were still good!

Early Valentines Day!

So I accidentally found out about my Valentine's day present. I promise it was completely by accident!! I happened to read a text of Alan's that told me exactly what it was. So in order to keep up with him I had to do something big. So I called up my sweet sis in law Tammy and my momma and we made a date!
First stop dinner at some place in the Gateway (I can't remember the name. Its just upstairs from the fountains, delicious!) With lettuce wraps like P.F. Changs. Yum!

Then a movie. Ummm what was it again? Oh ya Sherlock Holmes 2. Very good. You should definitely see it.
Then a short nap followed by dinner at a place called Stoneground (also very good. Recommend it) Then a trip to Nielsen's Frozen Custard. I'm blowing this up so you can read the fine print of the top sign. I think they thought they were clever. . . .
Another movie. Chronicle. Holy freakin weird. I don't know how I feel about it yet. Alan said he liked it better than Sherlock. Me not so much.
Then we hit the hay. (Sorry this was the best picture I got)
Then we had a late breakfast here (still as good as ever) and then headed to pick up the kids. It was a much needed break from life!
The  rest of the day was spent watching the superbowl with the kiddos (These are our superbowl snacks. 7 layer, meatballs and rice and something else. Kind of a weak attempt but it was still fun!)
And making Valentine boxes.

Gracie had to have a picture of every side she decorated.

This one was my favorite side.

Definitely not what I had pictured in my mind when I I mean we I mean she started on her box (I had a hard time remembering that it was her box not mine) but she loved it and that's what matters right?
