He's just a stud. He's 8 months now!! Crazy. He's getting so big :( he shakes his head no and says a whole bunch of baby words and he can crawl but its not fast enough so he does his version of the army crawl which is both arms at the same time. Alan calls it the breaststroke (or butterfly?). It's pretty cute. But man its rough having him mobile. And he's fast too. I liked it when he just sat there. Fast forward the video to like the last 45 seconds and you can see it unless you feel like watching the whole thing!Oh and he can get to a sitting position from the crawling one! Agggghhhhhhhhhh! He's growing too fast!
We've been having playdates with my friend Brandy's littlest Devree and her and Gracie are super cute! Although if not watched kinda closely they get creative. . . .

Sweet makeup girls.
Jake enjoys the playdates too.
Jake got to dress up as a rocker for Halloween!! J/K the girls (Gracie and Kenia) thought it would be funny to put their fake pink hair on him. He didn't seem to mind!

Just random stuff.

Gracie needed a serious haircut. And its amazing how much easier it is to do now!! And healthier! Thanks Mel!
Another playdate! We were pretending that its quite a bit warmer than it really was but the girls loved playing outside with the hose.
And when they were shivering so hard they couldn't talk we threw them in for a nice warm bath!! Or they went "swimming" in the bath tub.
She's so weird. She was super excited that she had a black one and a white one (although the black one is really brown). My cousins came down a couple weeks ago and we had a good time!! It was when the weather was SOOOO very nice so we went to the park! Jake absolutely loved the swing! He'd smile as long as he could 'til his mouth got tired and then rest it for just a sec and then start grinning again. It was so funny!

A big event is Alan turned 30!!! (He's SO old!!!). So we went for the whole surprise party thing and it worked!!! That was the real reason Jeremy and Christina came down but they also came under the pretense of driving to Vegas to get Amy's car and the rest of her stuff that was there. Which Alan and Jeremy did that but it was really for the party. Which turned out great!! He was really surprised!! I was sure he suspected something but he swears he didn't. Until he got home and Gracie came running around the side of the house and yelled "Happy Birthday Daddy! We're having a party!!" (who was watching her???) but it was still a huge success and thanks to everyone who helped!!! I owe you!!

While Jeremy and Christina were here we did an Easter Egg Hunt. Sooooo cute and fun. The girls loved it!

Always bath time at some point.
Man poor Jake. I didn't get a good picture but he liked playing with the cold air intake or whatever its called. Totally cut him up. When I finally went to check on him (cause he was having a good time) there was blood splattered up the walls and on the vent and the floor and running down his fingers. Poor thing. The bandaids didn't last long but long enough to stop the bleeding :(

Field trip time for preschool again!! We took a tour of Macey's and it was a lot of fun! Everytime you went to a different area you got a different treat! And the last area. . . Ice cream!! Thanks again Tam for inviting us!!And lastly (finally huh?) Gracie's first dance competition. I know you've seen the last video where she throws herself on the floor and they drag her off. Well, at this one. . . she dances!!! And she did such a good job!! And was so cute!! And her class took 1st place!! (out of 3) thanks Brandy and her other teachers!!

Great update, now I feel all caught up on your life. That video of Jake is so funny! He is growing up way too fast. Good job to Gracie, she's a little dancing queen. I think it's about time to reschedule our double date:)
You have been very busy! Everything looks fun! Jake is so sweet; he looks like a mini Gracie but boy version! I can't believe he is already 8 months. He truly seems not long ago that I was watching Gracie so you could clean your house before you had him! Time flies!!!!
